Non-refundable balance due plus a $100 security fee (security fee refundable within 24 hours after check out as long as there is no damage or excessive mess to the cabin, property, equipment or contents). ***Cash or e-transfers only.*** Check-in: 3 p.m. Check-out: 11 a.m. Early check-in and late check-out times are subject to availability. Requests welcomed at time of booking. Cancellation Policy: 72 hours before check-in date (note: only the remaining 50% of the total cost will be reimbursed if you have to cancel)

The cozy, rustic cabin at river's edge is eactly what was needed to relax, unwind and recharge our batterie. The serene beauty of the woods, the sound of birds singing and the sparkle of the freshly falling snow while hiking along the river was mesmerizing and its peacefulness sometimes made you forget your were only minutes from local restaurants and entertainment. Our hostess, Julie, was a fabulour source for information on hiking trails in the area and local entertainment. The cabin was well stocked, beautifully decorated and we enjoyed the most restful sleep (and naps) we've had in a long time. If you're looking to unplug and truly relax on your next getaway, look no further.

Cabin on River's Edge was the perfect setting to connect body, mind and spirit. It was exactly what my husband and I needed to relax and reconnect!! Its tranquil surroundings are only minutes to Grand Bend, which gives everyone the choice of the quiet and zen of the cabin, or the hustle and bustle of the Grand Bend beach life. The cabin is well stocked and so cozy!! We felt very at home and comfortable! Julie is by far an amazing host that always has your needs in mind. We are already planning on our next return back!! Thank you so much for an amazing experience Julie!!

I just enjoyed 2 glorious days at the Cabin at Rivers Edge with 3 friends. More than enjoyed actually...more like renewed, re-invigorated, recharged. The cabin itself is beautiful with a peaceful, serene energy to it. The grounds it sits on...just incredible. Woods and water and wildlife...you can't beat it.
The location is perfect as you can have a mix of serenity/quiet time by just staying there or hiking nearby, or going into the Bend which is literally just 2 minutes away.
Julie is the perfect host! She is very knowledgeable about surrounding attractions/hikes/beaches and just a pleasure to be around.
We plan on going back...and very soon! Next time to take advantage of the ion foot bath and reflexology treatments that Julie offers.

We booked a girls' weekend for mid May 2022 at Julie's cabin on the Ausable River. Julie greeted me (I was the first of our foursome to arrive) when I arrived and I felt at home immediately. Every single detail has been meticulously taken care of. Julie asked me if there was anything I could think of that would have made our girls' weekend better and I honestly could not think of anything. The cabin and grounds are beautiful and immaculate. The bed we slept in was sooo comfy and we all had great sleeps (lulled into slumber by the sounds of the surrounding forest). We have already booked another weekend and I plan on returning with my husband and dog for another small escape this summer. Julie has truly thought of everything. What a hidden gem!

What a great experience to be nestled amongst the trees in the cozy and comfortable zen shed overlooking the river! It's such a serene spot...and also close to other activities in the area to venture out to if you wish. Julie has created such a wonderful sanctuary where she has paid attention to every detail and you can feel the warmth and feel cared for in this beautiful space that really feels in harmony with the natural surroundings. It is the perfect place for having some time for nurturing in nature! We will definitely be back!
